Coaching Beyond The Game
Support for Parents, Student-Athletes, and Former Athletes Navigating Performance, Identity, and Transition
About Me –
I’ve experienced the student-athlete journey firsthand – as an athlete, a college coach, and a student-athlete academic advisor working inside the system. I understand performance pressure, recruiting realities, family dynamics, and the emotional weight that competitive sport carries.
I also understand what happens when an athletic career ends – when identity shifts, structure changes, and the next phase begins. My work is about helping people navigate those transitions with clarity, steadiness, and perspective.
From the People and Teams I’ve Worked With –
“Megan was the catalyst I needed to really feel like my goals were achievable. ” – Marsha B.

“Megan took our team through exercises that made them reflect and consider their values and what mattered most moving forward.” – Laura Gebhart, Head Coach, Bryant University Field Hockey
“Megan Guilbert could be the most passionate person I have ever met. Her enthusiasm, compassion, and drive are unmatched. Megan created a welcoming environment for growth as a team, but also as individuals which improved our team culture and performance. She truly takes the time to listen and understand each unique situation.” – Annie Hansbury, Head Coach, Stonehill College Field Hockey

“Our daughter was having issues with procrastination, self esteem, personal responsibility and planning ahead. In just a few months of weekly phone coaching sessions the difference was obvious.” – Rich and Patty M.
“Every player was able to take valuable information away from her presentation and utilize it during our trainings. Right away, Megan connected with our players and provided a positive growth environment.” – Allison Lancaster, Head Coach, Colby College Field Hockey

Please Note: While I have a background in social work, this practice is not therapy or clinical treatment. Coaching focuses on goal-setting, accountability, and personal growth.
